Celebrate Cheshire 2013 Strengthens Business Network

Over 70 businesses from across Cheshire and Warrington gathered at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington last Friday 25 October to attend the Celebrate Cheshire 2013 event.

The event was organized by Cheshire Business Leaders in partnership with Marketing Cheshire and hosted by Jim Hancock.

Councillor Terry O’Neill, Leader of Warrington Borough Council welcomed representatives from the entire spectrum of the commerce and industry to the conference, which featured an exclusive insight into the Rugby League World Cup and the economic benefit from a Warrington perspective, from Andy Gatcliffe, the CEO of Warrington Wolves.

The event featured presentations from three companies highlighting ways for enterprises to generate more business opportunities from existing contacts, maximise their potential for media coverage and improving sales techniques.

Speakers included Ewan Sturman, BNI Executive Director for Cheshire & North Wales and Cumbria, Mary Murtagh, Founder of Mary Murtagh Media and Graham Dobbin, Director at Perception.

Neville Chamberlain, Chair of Cheshire Business Leaders said: ‘We are delighted that so many companies supported this year’s Celebrate Cheshire 2013 initiative in Warrington.

The town saw more business start-ups anywhere outside of London last year making it industrial powerhouse of the North West economy and the event will hopefully give businesses more ideas how to improve their commercial performance.

We hope too it will help generate new opportunities for inward investment as well inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs to start up new enterprises’.
